The challenge

Kamstrup is a large European company that produces smart water meters. As it built its presence in North America, it worked with KSG to design a market research project that would uncover the buying cycle and current needs of the water market in the U.S. and Canada.

What KSG did

  • Customized and collaborative design. We worked with the Kamstrup team to design research that would uncover the information its teams needed to act.
  • A large research group. We ran a campaign targeting identified water authorities in the U.S. and Canada and asked their directors a series of questions to identify market trends and potential near-term sales opportunities.
  • Data segmentation and analysis. The project was designed for easy segmentation and filtering in Kamstrup's CRM and marketing campaigns, and we analyzed the results to identify sales opportunities.

Results

  • First-hand conversations with more than 1,000 agencies.
  • Market intelligence deliverables to fuel future sales and marketing efforts.
  • Near-term sales opportunities identified from the analysis.
