Just raised? Turn the round into pipeline

A new round usually comes with a mandate to grow revenue fast, and public-sector sales cycles don't speed up just because the bank account did.

  • Start outbound before you finish hiring. In-house SDRs take months to recruit and ramp, and government buyers need several touches over a long cycle.
  • Work the buying calendar. Budget adoption, fiscal year-end and grant deadlines decide when agencies can buy.
  • Lead with peers. Agencies trust what similar agencies use, so early reference customers matter more than features.
  • Get on contract. Cooperative contracts and state contracts shorten the path to a first purchase order.
